Lip Resistance Shield

$21.95

This is a groundbreaking tool designed for individuals aged eleven and up, or those with larger dental arches, to effectively strengthen lip and facial muscles. Crafted from non-toxic crystal PVC, the Lip Resistance Shield offers an innovative solution to help patients achieve oromyofunctional adequacy and improve oral posture and function.

Key Features:

  • Non-toxic crystal PVC construction ensures safety and durability

  • Concave shield with upper and lower recesses for intra-oral coupling without contact with labial frenulum

  • Single-piece design with a shield connected to a ring via a rod

  • Available in two sizes for children, adults, and individuals with smaller or larger dental arches

  • Measurements: Concave shield - 60mm linear length, 24mm width; Ring - 30mm external diameter, 20mm internal diameter; Rod - 7mm long, 3mm wide

Applications:

  • Oromyofunctional adequacy: Suitable for patients with altered oral postures, mouth breathing, bad oral habits (lip biting, finger sucking), changes in lip tone, shortening of the upper lip, motor incoordination of the lips, and changes in oral functions.

  • Muscular Strengthening: Targets and works the orbicularis, masseters, temporalis, and medial pterygoids muscles.

  • Buccinator Mechanism Balance: Promotes muscular balance of the buccinator mechanism, ensuring proper functioning and coordination.

To use the Lip Resistance Shield, simply introduce the shield in the upper and lower vestibular regions, allowing the small rod and the ring to remain outside the mouth in a centrally positioned manner. Maintain smooth occlusion of the teeth during exercises to ensure stability.
